The firm was founded by Kevin G. White, who continues to serve as chairman and chief executive officer of KGW Capital Management. Mr. White is involved in major strategic decisions affecting KGW Capital, including the initiation of new research programs and investment activities. He devotes the majority of his time to the day-to-day operations of the firm's various asset management units.

Prior to founding KGW Capital, Mr. White's 25 year Wall Street career included a long distinguished tenure at Shearson Loeb Rhodes and predecessor firms Shearson/American Express, Shearson Lehman Brothers and Shearson Lehman Hutton. Mr. White was a member of Shearson’s Chairman’s Council and worked closely on the firm’s U.S. retail brokerage strategies. Mr. White also oversaw the firm’s international client programs with total assets of over $300 million.

Today and throughout his career, Mr. White has served on a number of corporate, industry and philanthropic boards. KGW Capital is also an active supporter of the firm’s Live To Give program which supports various charities throughout the United States.
